Grace In Calling
March became a month where I slowly realized that God sometimes prepares blessings long before we are ready to accept them.
In this season, I learned to welcome changes more wholeheartedly and to trust that God’s plans unfold in ways we do not always expect. Through new developments at work, quiet moments with the YATTA community, and the personal meaning of my birthday during World Theatre Day, I saw how life continues to guide us toward places we were meant to reach. Ultimately, March reminded me that when we allow God to lead, our path becomes clearer even in ordinary moments.
Personally, March felt calm yet meaningful. I found myself appreciating things more deeply and welcoming circumstances with a more open heart. At work, I began noticing improvements in the environment and relationships around me. The team continued to grow, and many new colleagues were learning their roles. While I was still assisting and guiding them, something unexpected also happened. I began training for another position.
This opportunity was interesting because it was something I had previously turned down. At that time, I did not feel ready for it, and many circumstances at work were complicated. But this March, when the opportunity came again, something felt different. I said yes.
Looking back, it felt like a quiet blessing. Sometimes God places opportunities before us, but we only recognize them when the timing is right. The transition is still ongoing, and I am balancing assisting new colleagues while learning the responsibilities of the new role. Even so, it feels like part of a path that God has slowly been shaping for me.
March also carries a special meaning beyond work. It is Women’s Month, a time that celebrates life, growth, and the different ways strength and gentleness appear in the world. I was reminded that femininity often reflects care, resilience, and the quiet ability to nurture communities and relationships. It is a beautiful reminder of how life blooms in different forms around us.
For me, March is also my birthday month. What makes it even more meaningful is that my birthday falls on the same day as World Theatre Day. I have often wondered about that coincidence. Perhaps it is simply chance, but sometimes I feel that God allowed that connection for a reason.
Theater has always been more than just performance. It is a space where stories reflect life itself. Just as actors stand on a stage before an audience, our lives also unfold like a stage where we make choices, interact with others, and express who we are becoming. Being born on a day that celebrates theater feels like a gentle reminder that my journey with the theater community and with YATTA may not be accidental at all.
Meeting theater people, sharing spaces with artists, and participating in advocacy through creative expression have shaped how I see the world. Theater allows communities to reflect on society, to care for people, and to speak truths that might otherwise remain hidden. Perhaps being connected to this world is part of the calling God has slowly revealed to me.
For YATTA, March was quieter compared to the busy months of performances. Activities mainly involved smaller gatherings, brainstorming sessions, and preparation for upcoming youth camps. We spent time creating modules, discussing plans, and simply catching up with one another.
Even though these meetings were simple, they were meaningful. Around the table were officers and members sharing updates about their lives. Some were preparing to graduate. Some were excited to take their professional licensure exams. Others were exploring their artistic paths or spending time reconnecting with their families.
In those moments, I realized something beautiful. The organization is important, but the lives of the people within it matter even more. After every meeting or conversation, everyone returns to their personal journeys. Yet somehow, our paths keep crossing again through shared advocacy and friendship.
Psalm 37:23 reflects this quiet realization:
“The Lord directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives.”
March reminded me that God is present not only in major milestones but also in ordinary transitions. Through accepting a new role at work, celebrating another year of life, and witnessing the journeys of friends in YATTA, I was reminded that every step carries purpose.
Looking back, this month taught me to trust God’s timing more fully. The opportunities we once reject may return when we are finally ready for them. The communities we encounter may be part of a larger purpose we only understand later. And sometimes, even in quiet meetings and simple conversations, God is already guiding the next chapter of our story.
